Zee Ntuli

Zee Ntuli is an exciting young South African filmmaker who has already achieved numerous successes. He co-wrote and directed Hard To Get, his first feature film produced by Helena Spring and Junaid Ahmed, which was selected to open the 2014 Durban International Film Festival.

His 24 minute short film, Bomlambo (Those Of The Water), won the award for best fantasy film at the New York International Film Festival; was nominated for best short film at the 2012 SAFTA’s; was selected to be screened at the 19th International film festival Contravision in Germany and the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France 2012; and won the M-net Edit Award for Best Overall Project.

His 12 minute short In Return (Emasisweni) was nominated as the South African candidate for the Student Oscars 2010; for a SAFTA in the best short film category; and screened at Internationales Studentenfilmfestival Sehsüchte. In addition to the Durban International Film Festival his films have also screened at Coal Stove; CinemAfrica Film Festival; and the Afrykamera Film Festival. While studying at the School Of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance, his work won the award for Best Film all four years consecutively.

He has written and directed for several TV dramas including Intersexions and Soul City. He is currently working on a music driven feature film with Helena Spring, Junaid Ahmed and James Ncgobo.
